Projected Future Programmes and Projects

Demand for SACDEP support continues to expand.  The limitation is scarcity in Human, material and financial Resources.  Once obtained, the Organization intends to open up development Programmes in the following additional Geographical regions.

In Kenya – Community Programmes;

Isiolo County – Water and dryland livestock production.

Taita Taveta County Geographical – Mineral industry for women.

Laikipia County – Dairy industry for small scale holders

Kwale, Kilifi – Mangrove and coral Reef management.

Kajiado County– Multi-enterprise, Sustainable Land Use Management – The MESLUM Model.

Tharaka – Nithi Kitui Counties – Dryland community led irrigation programmes (Wenyewes)

REACHING THE WORLD

SACDEP Kenya was formed in 1993 inorder to respond to the shortcomings that were analyzed within the conventional agriculture models

The founder Mr. Ngugi Mutura continues to serve as the Executive Director.

Within SACDEP, he is responsible of resource mobilization that includes fund raising.

Mr. Mutura leads in the mobilization of also land resources for use in SACDEP’s development programmes and projects. The land is made available by the National Government, the County Governments and individual persons

INVITATION TO SACDEP PARTNERSHIP

 Starting with 270 families in 1993 today, the organization has reached 488,395 families. at each development segment 11,500 families are in the projects caseload.

For SACDEP, the invitations by tens of community groups are overwhelming. Once funding is successfully mobilized, then it’s time to move in and engage the people by catalyzing their development processes. For now, the future remains challenging and exciting as it is envisaged to be satisfying.
